What is a mosh pit?

What the hell are they doing? It doesn't look like they are having much fun, them fools over there! They're just running around and ramming eachother. What a bunch of wankers!

Us moshers know that it doesn't matter what people must think about the scared pit of collision. I have sought a concrete decription of what a mosh pit is. Something that is both meaningful, and meaningless.

The Concrete description:

To knock against (someone) intentionally while dancing at a rock concert.

Now for the description the very passionate mosher would say right after the last song.

fuck yeah, intense, fuck yeah - fuckin' love this band!!!
